Irfan Pathan, the former India all-rounder, expressed his surprise at Sunrisers Hyderabad’s (SRH) handling of Umran Malik during the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season. Malik was again not part of the squad for the seven-wicket loss to Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on May 13, which left Sunrisers on the verge of elimination.
Malik, 23, last played against Delhi Capitals on April 29, where he was taken out of the attack after conceding 22 runs in an over. So far this season, he has taken five wickets in seven matches with an economy rate of 10.35. He had gone wicketless in his last three outings.
