Jamshedpur FC have completed the signing of French attacking midfielder Madih Talal for the 2025–26 campaign, adding proven creativity and goal threat to the Men of Steel’s midfield engine room. The 27-year-old arrives after impactful spells with East Bengal FC and Punjab FC in the Indian Super League, where his chance creation and end-product stood out across two seasons.

Talal, a Paris-born creator with stints in France, Spain, and Greece prior to his move to India, rose to prominence with a breakthrough debut ISL season at Punjab FC in 2023–24, recording six goals and 10 assists in 22 league appearances. That haul included the joint-most assists by a player in a debut ISL season.

Following his standout year with Punjab, Talal signed a two-year deal with East Bengal in June 2024. His 2024–25 campaign began brightly before a knee injury against Odisha FC curtailed his season. Prior to the layoff, he featured 17 times in the league with one goal and one assist and added a goal and an assist in the AFC Challenge League.

He began his career with Angers B before moving to Amiens, where he made his first-team debut in the Coupe de France against Sochaux on 7 January 2018. He then enjoyed a prolific loan at Entente SSG in the 2018–19 season, scoring nine league goals, followed by spells at Las Rozas in Spain in 2020, Red Star in 2021, Avranches in 2021–22, and A.E. Kifisia in Greece in 2022–23.

On the pitch, Talal brings incisive passing between the lines and intelligent movement into scoring zones. He links midfield to attack with tempo and precision, unlocking compact defenses with disguised passes and quick combinations.

“I’m very happy to join Jamshedpur FC and start this new chapter in my career. I’ve heard a lot about the passion of the fans here and the energy at the Furnace. I’m coming with full motivation to give my best for the team, create chances, and help Jamshedpur fight for trophies this season,” said Talal.

“Talal is a player who can make things happen with one pass. His vision, control, and ability to play between the lines will give us an extra dimension in attack. I’m really pleased to have him in our squad and he fits the way we want to play football,” said Steven Dias about Talal’s addition.

Talal becomes Jamshedpur FC’s fifth foreigner, joining Japanese midfielder Rei Tachikawa, Nigerian defender Stephen Eze, Cameroonian forward Messi Bouli and Serbian defender Lazar Cirkovic. His arrival adds technical depth and tactical flexibility as the Men of Steel finalize preparations for the Super Cup in Goa, where JFC will compete in Group B against FC Goa (October 26), NorthEast United FC (October 29), and Inter Kashi (November 1) under head coach Steven Dias.
