Punjab Kings’ Yuzvendra Chahal, being a leg spinner, turned into an off-spinner in the nets ahead of their clash with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata. PBKS posted a video that went viral on X (formerly known as Twitter), where it was seen that Chahal was bowling off-spin in the nets.
He has been known as a charming character always in the dressing room, and in the video, he was seen in a joyful mood while bowling off-spin. However, Chahal was the hero for PBKS in the reverse fixture against KKR this season, as he single-handedly turned the match in the favour of PBKS by getting two wickets in two balls.

He got Rinku Singh stumped and Ramandeep Singh caught, and KKR’s downfall started from there. Earlier in that match, he had dismissed KKR captain Rahane, who was going well, and Angkrish Raghuvanshi, who was the highest scorer for KKR in that match. He finished with 4/28 in his four overs and was awarded the Player of the Match for his incredible performance.
Yuzvendra Chahal is the highest wicket-taker ever in the IPL
Chahal’s record vs KKR has been excellent, as he has picked up a hat-trick while playing for the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in 2022. In the IPL, against KKR, Chahal has taken 33 wickets from 23 matches, while at the Eden Gardens, he has taken 10 wickets in 10 games.
Chahal is the highest wicket-taker in the history of the IPL, with 214 wickets from 168 matches, and was picked up in the auction by PBKS for 18 crores with high hopes. Though his start in this year’s IPL was not very good, he has made a strong comeback in the last few games. Till now, he has picked up nine wickets in eight games.
