Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will lock horns with each other later today at the iconic Eden Gardens stadium in the ongoing IPL 2025. Top players from both sides will be in action as many of them are capable enough to win the game single-handedly for their respective teams. For KKR, all eyes will be on the star, veteran all-rounder, Andre Russell as he has already produced some outstanding all-round performances in IPL over the years against SRH and single-handedly decided the final results of those games.

64* (25) and 2/25 – March 23, 2024

While batting first in this match, KKR posted 208/7 in 20 overs, courtesy of an unbeaten 64*run knock of 25 balls from Russell. Then, with the ball also, he picked up two wickets for 25 runs and KKR won that game by four runs at the Eden Gardens. He earned the Player of the Match award. 

49* (28) and 3/22 – May 14, 2022

In this match at Pune, at one stage, KKR were five wickets down for 94 runs but Russell smashed 49* off 28 balls and helped KKR to post 177/6 in 20 overs on the board. Then, with the ball, he led the charge by taking three wickets and ultimately, KKR won the game by 54 runs. Russell was named the Player of the Match.

49* (19) and 2/32 – March 24, 2019

This match took place during the IPL 2019 at the Eden Gardens. KKR successfully chased down the 182-run target with six wickets in hand in 19.4 overs. Russell remained not out on 49 off 19 and sealed the win. Even, with the ball, he grabbed two wickets for 32 runs and this all-round performance earned him the Player of the Match award.
