Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have appointed Lance Klusener as an assistant coach for the upcoming IPL season. Klusener joins the coaching staff led by Justin Langer. He will work alongside fellow assistant coach S Sriram as they strive to clinch the elusive IPL title under the leadership of KL Rahul.

Klusener will continue to oversee the operations of Durban Super Giants (DSG), the South Africa-based affiliate of the Super Giants franchise in SA20.

As the head coach of DSG’s SA20 side, Klusener guided them to the final in the recently concluded season.

With prior IPL coaching experience, having served as an assistant coach with Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals, Klusener brings valuable insights to the LSG setup. His collaboration with emerging pace bowler Shamar Joseph at Guyana Amazon Warriors in the Caribbean Premier League further enhances his coaching credentials.

Klusener has also coached teams in other T20 leagues, including the Bangladesh Premier League’s Rajshahi Kings and the Tamil Nadu Premier League’s Lyca Kovai Kings. Additionally, he has contributed to domestic cricket by coaching Tripura in 2023. His vast coaching experience, going back nearly two decades, enriches the staff, raising hopes for a successful campaign ahead.
