Kuldeep Yadav Attains Career-Best Ranking in Test Cricket

Kuldeep Yadav finished as the highest wicket-taker of the recently concluded series between India and the West Indies, taking 12 wickets. As a result, he has earned his career-best position in the ICC Rankings for Test bowlers.

The left-arm wrist-spinner has jumped seven places and is currently in 14th spot with 689 rating points. Mohammed Siraj, who was the second-highest wicket-taker of the series with 10 wickets, is in 12th place with 726 rating points.

Jasprit Bumrah leads the bowlers’ chart in Test matches with 882 rating points. South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada is in second place with 851 points. New Zealand’s Matt Henry follows closely, just five points behind Rabada. Two Australian bowlers, Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood, occupy fourth and fifth place with 838 and 815 points respectively.

Among the batters, Yashasvi Jaiswal has moved up two places to fifth spot with 791 rating points, following his outstanding performance (175 runs) in the second Test against the West Indies in Delhi. England’s Joe Root tops the list with 908 rating points and is followed by his teammate Harry Brook with 868 points. Kane Williamson and Steve Smith are in third and fourth place with 850 and 816 points respectively.

Despite missing the series against the West Indies, Rishabh Pant remains in eighth spot with 753 rating points. India’s captain, Shubman Gill, is ranked 13th with 733 points.

India’s Ravindra Jadeja has strengthened his position at the top of the all-rounders’ chart with 426 rating points.
