Barcelona have secured their place in the Copa del Rey final after a 1-0 win over Atletico Madrid at the Metropolitano Stadium. With a 5-4 aggregate victory over the two legs, they will now face their arch-rivals, Real Madrid, in an El Clásico final.
Young star Lamine Yamal once again stole the spotlight. He set up Ferran Torres with a stunning, Messi-like assist for the only goal of the match. In the 27th minute, Yamal played a perfect through ball, allowing Torres to stretch and beat Atletico keeper Juan Musso. Torres placed the ball into the bottom-left corner, scoring his fifth goal of the Copa del Rey campaign.
According to Opta, Yamal is now tied with Bruno Fernandes for the most through balls (37) in Europe’s top five leagues this season. He also ranks second in assists from open play, behind only Mo Salah.

Lamine Yamal’s Unbeaten Record vs Atletico Madrid
Yamal has never lost a game against Atletico Madrid in his young career. In five matches, he has won four times and drawn once. That draw was the 4-4 thriller in the first leg of this Copa del Rey semi-final, where he also registered an assist. Across these two legs, he has provided two assists and also has one goal against Atletico in previous meetings.
However, Barcelona fans were a bit worried when Yamal ended up the game with a bloody ankle, courtesy of a challenge from Clement Lenglet. But the good news is that he is expected to not having an injury and there is no such danger of him missing any upcoming games.
