Mumbai Indians arrived in Lucknow for their fourth fixture of IPL 2025, but their preparations were dampened by a major setback—Rohit Sharma has been ruled out due to injury. As both teams geared up for the clash, MI skipper Hardik Pandya revealed at the toss, “Rohit was hit on the knee. He is missing out.” The star batter sustained the injury during a practice session, forcing him to sit out the game.

After winning the toss, the five-time IPL winners chose to bowl first. Replacing Rohit is Raj Bawa, a star from the U-19 2022 World Cup. Key players like Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, and Tilak Verma will be part of the batting lineup, aiming to chase down whatever total LSG puts up in the first innings.

Looking to secure their second win of the season, both teams will be eyeing victory today. MI’s brilliant performance in defeating the Kolkata Knight Riders in the last match was a strong statement. LSG, on the other hand, will be hoping for a better show from Rishabh Pant—acquired for INR 27 crore—who has scored just 17 runs so far. However, Nicholas Pooran and Mitchell Marsh have been in good form, contributing solid runs individually.
