Pakistan Shaheens defeated India A by eight wickets with 40 balls to spare in the Group B match of the ongoing ACC Men’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025. It was a statement win from the Shaheens at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium in Doha, thanks to an all-round performance by Maaz Sadaqat. He was named the Player of the Match.

Pakistan Shaheen won the toss and elected to bowl first. Teen sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi once again played a flamboyant knock of 45 off just 28 balls, including five fours and three sixes at a strike rate of 160.71. He added a 49-run partnership with Naman Dhir for the second wicket. Dhir scored 35 off 20. However, except for these two, none of the other batters could contribute much.

After Suryavanshi’s dismissal in the 10th over, India A kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Shahid Aziz was brilliant for the Shaheens, taking three wickets, while Saad Masood and Sadaqat picked up two wickets each. India A were bundled out for 136 in the 19th over.

In reply, Pakistan Shaheens got off to a superb start. Sadaqat added 55 runs with Mohammad Naeem for the first wicket. In the end, Sadaqat and Mohammad Faiq stitched an unbeaten 43-run partnership to take their team to victory.

Sadaqat remained not out on 79 off 47 balls, including seven fours and four sixes at a strike rate of 168.09. For India A, Yash Thakur and Suyash Sharma took one wicket each.
