England and Man City’s Kyle Walker has come up with a bold claim that he would give up one of his Premier League titles for a trophy with his former side, Tottenham Hotspur. Walker spent eight years there but was unable to win a trophy. Recently, Spurs broke their 17-year trophy drought by winning the Europa League title, defeating Manchester United.

Walker was part of the Spurs side that came second in the league in 2017 before joining Manchester City. For City, he has won six league titles, four English League Cups, two FA Cups, two Community Shields, one UEFA Champions League (UCL) title, one UEFA Super Cup, and one FIFA Club World Cup so far.

So, while speaking on the Kyle Walker Podcast, he opened up on the Spurs’ victory and said: “I’d probably give up one Premier League to win that [the Europa League] with Tottenham,” Walker said. “I would, if I could change it, just to say that I was in that Spurs squad that won a trophy, [the first] since 2007. I know what it means. I’d give my second [PL title], it’s hard to give one away, but for what that moment meant [I would].”

Kyle Walker’s journey at Manchester City is most likely to come to an end ahead of the next season

He talked about former teammate and Spurs captain, Son Heung-Min, saying: “I remember him walking through the door from Leverkusen, it was like a rabbit in headlights, there were big characters back there. It was just nice personally for him,” Walker added. “To go all that time, getting to all those finals, being that nearly person but then to finally do it.”

However, it is most likely that Walker will part ways with City ahead of next season. In January 2025, he joined the Italian side AC Milan in a loan deal, and now, after completing the loan move, he has returned to City but has been left out of their FIFA Club World Cup 2025 squad.

As per recent reports, he is linked with a move to Jose Mourinho’s Turkish side, Fenerbahçe, who are believed to have made a serious approach.
