Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has expressed his desire to play alongside Spanish teenage sensation Lamine Yamal. The 17-year-old has emerged as one of the brightest young talents in world football, playing a key role in Barcelona’s La Liga-winning campaign and Spain’s recent UEFA Nations League run to the final.

He was also part of Spain’s UEFA EURO 2024-winning squad. Yamal was also named the Young Player of the Tournament and became the youngest player ever to win that prestigious tournament.

During an interview on the Spanish YouTube channel xBuyer, Rashford was asked if he would like to play with Yamal one day. The England international responded, “Yeah, for sure. Everybody in the world wants to play with the best. Hopefully… we’ll see.”

He further praised the young star, saying, “It’s difficult to put into words what he is doing. He is not supposed to be doing that at 16, 17 [years old].”

Last season, Rashford spent the second half on loan at Aston Villa

Meanwhile, Rashford’s own future at Manchester United remains uncertain. According to recent reports from ESPN, the club is open to offers for the 27-year-old forward. Several clubs, including Barcelona, Inter Milan, Juventus, Bayern Munich, and a few Premier League sides, have reportedly shown interest.

Last season, Rashford spent the second half on loan at Aston Villa, with limited opportunities at Old Trafford. A source close to ESPN revealed that the England international is planning to report back for training with Manchester United next month if a transfer deal is not finalised by then.

Rashford is currently under contract with Manchester United until 2028.
