Glenn McGrath has outlined his top contenders for the upcoming 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup. McGrath confidently predicts that India, Australia, England, and Pakistan will emerge as the semi-finalists in the tournament.

“You wouldn’t be surprised I’m putting Australia in that four. Obviously, India are playing in their own conditions. England are playing some great cricket and Pakistan are also playing fine. So they are the best four,” McGrath said while speaking to The Times of India.

The upcoming 50-over World Cup will maintain the same round-robin league format as seen in the 2019 edition, featuring ten participating teams. The matches will be conducted across various cities in India, including Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Dharamsala, Lucknow, Pune, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Kolkata. The semi-finals are scheduled for Mumbai and Kolkata, with the final showdown set to take place in Ahmedabad.

The 13th edition of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup is slated to be hosted by India, spanning from October 5 to November 19, 2023.
