Team A secured a commanding 88-run win over Team B in a one-sided league match of the Mumbai Indians Junior Boys Rising Star Tournament in Mumbai on Wednesday.
Opting to bat first, Team A got off to a solid start with a 57-run opening stand between Ashira Patil and captain Tanisha Sharma before Tanisha departed for 18. Ashira continued to anchor the innings, forming another crucial partnership with Aarya Wajge before falling just short of a half-century with 49 runs. Wajge carried the momentum forward with a composed unbeaten 44, propelling Team A to a strong total of 163/3 in their 21 overs.
Chasing 164, Team B struggled from the outset, failing to build partnerships and losing wickets at regular intervals. The bowling attack, led by Avani Vengurlekar’s sensational hat-trick, dismantled the opposition. Rajasi Nagose (2/1), Bhargavi Patil (2/9), and Aarya Wajge (2/10) also made valuable contributions, bundling Team B out for just 75 in 20.2 overs, sealing an emphatic win for Team A.
