Jasprit Bumrah has joined the Mumbai Indians (MI) squad as the franchise has announced through a fantastic arrival video on their social media. The video went viral instantly and MI shared the video with a caption: “READY TO ROAR” with a Lion emoji. In that video, fans also witnessed Bumrah’s wife, Sanjana Ganesan reading a story to their son, Angad where she was referring to Bumrah as the lion.
His arrival must be a boost to MI fans and the whole squad, especially before a crucial clash against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) tomorrow at the Wankhede stadium. However, whether he will be in action or not, remains to be seen as his fitness will be crucial.

Why did Jasprit Bumrah miss the initial games for MI?
The ace pacer missed the initial games for MI due to a lower back injury that he sustained during India’s tour of Australia earlier this year. Bumrah was the Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru and was going through his rehabilitation.
Mumbai Indians are stuck at the eighth spot in the ongoing IPL 2025, having registered only one win out of four and a net run rate of +0.108. Defeats to Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Gujarat Titans (GT), and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) revealed their weaknesses in the bowling line-up. Hence, MI fans will hope that now with the arrival of Bumrah, their season can get back on the track.
