Now, star Team India pacer Mohammed Shami has come up with viral Instagram stories to slam media outlets spreading rumours about his retirement from the longest format of the game.
By pointing out an article on social media regarding his Test retirement rumours, Shami first wrote: “Very well done Maharaj apna job ke din bhi gin loo kitna adieu hai badme dekh le hamara ap jaise ne satyiyanash kar diya future ka kabi to achha bol liya kare aaj ka sabse kharab story sorry” 🙏
Then, in the second Instagram story, Shami was seen slamming another reputed media outlet, writing: “Time hai abhi bhi but ham sudhar kar sakte hai apne bharat desh k liye. Asb ye kon bhai aya ABP Baba.”

Both stories went viral instantly, as the Indian pacer seemed to be not happy at all with the false retirement rumours. However, all eyes will now be on whether Shami makes the squad for the upcoming England tour for the five Tests.
But as the IPL 2025 is set to resume on 17 May, Shami will be back in action for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). It has been a disappointing season so far for him with the ball, taking six wickets in nine matches. Now, he will look to end the season on a high with some brilliant performances for SRH.
