“It will be fun, and I am very excited.” – Mohammed Siraj on bowling against Virat Kohli

Kohli has made a strong start to IPL 2025, scoring an unbeaten 59 in RCB’s opening win against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), followed by a solid 31 against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). RCB have won both their matches so far, while GT have one win and one loss. Siraj, meanwhile, had a tough start, going wicketless against Punjab Kings (PBKS), but bounced back with figures of 2/34 against Mumbai Indians (MI), including a brilliant delivery to castle Rohit Sharma.

With Kohli in fine form and Siraj eager to prove himself against his former franchise, their duel will be one to watch. The emotional angle of this match-up adds extra excitement for RCB fans, who will witness their beloved former pacer in new colours.

Speaking to RevSportz in a recent interview about facing Kohli, Siraj said: “When we play for the Indian team, I have bowled a lot against him in the nets. But now, for the first time, I will be bowling to him in a match. It will be fun, and I am very excited.”
