Mohammedan Sporting Club, one of India’s most historic football institutions, has announced a landmark partnership with Shrachi Sports Ventures, securing their involvement as a co-investor ahead of the upcoming Indian Super League (ISL) 2024 season.
The partnership, formalized in a press event today, marks a significant moment for the club as Shrachi Sports Ventures acquires a 50% stake from the existing investor, Bunkerhill. This move reshapes the investment distribution for Mohammedan Sporting Club, with Shrachi Sports and Bunkerhill each holding a 30.5% stake, while the club retains a 39% share.
This collaboration is expected to bolster the club’s financial stability and competitive edge as it prepares for its debut in the ISL. Shrachi Sports Ventures has pledged over 30% of the club’s total investment, complementing Bunkerhill’s continued role as the primary sponsor.
