It can now be confirmed that Mohun Bagan Super Giant has completed all formalities to overturn the FIFA ban that was imposed on them. The club had earlier said that it was an online issue that preempted them from completing the paperwork and they were in touch with FIFA to obtain the correct link.
“Yes, all things are done now and we are just waiting to hear a formal overturn of the issue. It isn’t anything major at all and will be done very soon. We have completed all formalities at our end”, confirmed a source close to the developments.
With nothing much formally happening before 9 June when the window officially starts, MBSG are very confident everything will be in order by then and all things will be streamlined.
Meanwhile, talks are very much on with the national team player they want to sign and things are moving in a positive direction. “We are on course” is what the source said.
“We will make the best team and give head coach Molina a team of his choice. It will then be over to him. That’s how we have been asked to function by our principal owner Dr Sanjiv Goenka”, he concluded.
That MBSG will go all out for this national team player is evident.
