England Women’s captain Nat Sciver-Brunt has returned to the top of the ICC Women’s ODI Batting Rankings following a strong showing in the recently concluded series against India. The all-rounder scored 160 runs across the three matches, with a standout 98-run knock in the final ODI, helping her reclaim the No.1 position.
Sciver-Brunt previously held the top spot in 2023, and this marks her return to the summit for the first time since then. She had consistently stayed in the top five but was behind South Africa captain Laura Wolvaardt and India’s vice-captain Smriti Mandhana in recent months.
With her latest rise, Sciver-Brunt has dethroned Mandhana, who now drops to second after scoring 115 runs in the series. Mandhana’s teammates Harmanpreet Kaur and Jemimah Rodrigues have also maintained their presence in the top 15, ranked 11th and 13th respectively.
Ecclestone Dominates ODI Bowling Rankings
Alongside Sciver-Brunt’s batting success, England spinner Sophie Ecclestone continues her dominance at the top of the ICC Women’s ODI Bowling Rankings. Ecclestone picked up five wickets in the series against India, finishing as the second-highest wicket-taker.
Ireland’s Orla Prendergast has made significant strides in the ICC rankings following her performances in the series against Zimbabwe. The talented all-rounder is now ranked 22nd in the ODI batting charts after an unbeaten 67 in the second match in Belfast. She has also climbed to 33rd in the bowling rankings.
Prendergast’s all-round showing has propelled her to 10th in the ICC ODI All-Rounder Rankings, which continue to be led by Australia’s Ashleigh Gardner.
