Athletes must meet stringent qualification criteria to secure a place in the championships. Key requirements include holding an active World Para Athletics (WPA) license for the 2025 season, being internationally classified with a confirmed Sport Class status or a fixed review date of 2026 or later, and achieving the Minimum Entry Standard (MES) at a recognised WPA competition between January 1, 2024, and August 3, 2025.

Special direct invitations may be granted to ensure wider representation across nations, genders, and classifications. Athletes unable to meet MES due to extraordinary circumstances may apply for these invitations before the August 4, 2025, deadline.

To maintain competitive integrity, individual events must have at least five athletes from three National Paralympic Committees (NPCs). Relay events require a minimum of five teams from five NPCs. NPCs can enter up to three athletes per individual event, provided each meets the MES. Relay events allow only one team per NPC. In cases where field events are combined into one category, a maximum of five athletes can be entered, with a limit of three per sport class.

The key dates for athletes and teams include January 1, 2024, as the start of the qualification period, March 14, 2025, as the preliminary entry submission deadline, and July 7, 2025, as the final deadline for Entry by Number. The final deadline for Entry by Name is August 8, 2025, and the competition fee payment deadline is September 8, 2025.
