New Zealand defeated West Indies by eight wickets with 26 balls to spare in the final T20I of the five-match series in Dunedin, clinching the series 3-1.

After winning the toss, New Zealand opted to field first and their bowlers justified the call immediately. The West Indies innings collapsed early, losing four wickets in the first three overs. They struggled to build momentum and never recovered. Only Roston Chase and Romario Shepherd offered some resistance — Chase scored 38 off 32 balls with three fours and a six, while Shepherd smashed 36 off 22 balls at a strike rate of 163.64, hitting three fours and three sixes.

Jacob Duffy starred for New Zealand, taking four wickets, including three in a single over that broke the West Indies’ back early.

In reply, New Zealand chased down the modest target of 141 comfortably. Openers Tim Robinson and Devon Conway added 69 runs for the first wicket to set up the victory. Conway anchored the chase with an unbeaten 47 off 42 balls, hitting four fours and a six. Rachin Ravindra and Mark Chapman chipped in with 21 runs each to complete the formalities.

Jacob Duffy was named both the Player of the Match and Player of the Series for his match-winning performances throughout the series. He finished the series with 10 wickets.
