Reliance Foundation celebrated Olympic Day 2025 in style at its school in Navi Mumbai, bringing together 1,450 students and several top athletes and Olympians. The event showcased the Olympic spirit with energy, fun, and learning.
Olympians Deepika Kumari and Atanu Das (archery) were joined by national-level athletes Ancy Sojan, Tejas Shirse, and Sakshi Chavan. These athletes inspired the students to take up sports and follow the Olympic values of Excellence, Respect, and Friendship.
Deepika Kumari, who signed a book that includes a chapter about her, said, “The energy has been amazing. The students are eager to learn and lead a life that includes sports. It’s great to know that many of them already play and follow the Olympics. I hope they adopt Olympic values in their lives too.”
Tejas Shirse encouraged the children to try different sports and enjoy playing, saying, “At your age, it’s important to explore and find what sport you enjoy most. It’s great that the IOC and Reliance Foundation are teaching Olympic values early. This will help India grow stronger in sports.”
Following the “Let’s Move India” theme—Move with Your Plus+1—the celebration encouraged students to be active with a friend, classmate, teacher, or teammate. The school was filled with Olympic colours representing unity, friendship, and joy through movement.

Event Highlights:
- Archery Session: Deepika Kumari and Atanu Das gave students a chance to try archery and learn the basics.
- Buddy Games: Children teamed up to take part in fun games and challenges with the athletes.
- Pledge Signing: Students and athletes pledged to live healthy, active lives.
- Move with the Champions: A lively session with the athletes ended with a dance workshop by the Shiamak Davar team, getting everyone moving.
This celebration is part of the larger “Let’s Move” initiative launched in 2023 by the IOC and WHO, with support from the Abhinav Bindra Foundation and Reliance Foundation. The initiative has already reached more than 20 million people in India, encouraging daily movement and a love for sport.
Olympic Day is held every year on June 23 to mark the founding of the modern Olympic Games in 1894. Events like “Let’s Move” continue to spread messages of health, inclusion, and physical activity worldwide.
