Saim Ayub, Mohammad Haris and Omair Bin Yousaf are potential superstars: Babar


Pakistan skipper Babar Azam has identified three promising talents – Saim Ayub, Mohammad Haris and Omair Bin Yousaf – as potential superstars for the upcoming 2023 World Cup. He believes these players have the potential to establish themselves in the longer run and make a significant impact on the international stage.

“As far as promising youngsters are concerned, Saim Ayub, Omair Bin Yousaf, and Mohammad Haris are potential superstars in my opinion. They just to focus hard and do simple things properly without burdening themselves with the pressure of international cricket,” said Babar Azam while speaking to Cricwick.

When it comes to the performance of the trio hailed by Babar, wicket-keeper batter Mohammad Haris stood out by amassing a remarkable total of 350 runs in just 12 PSL games this year at a strike rate of 186.17. Left-handed batter Saim Ayub, on the other hand, exhibited his exceptional batting skills by scoring a commendable 341 runs in 12 matches in PSL 8, displaying a striking strike rate of 165.53.

 Omair Bin Yousaf, yet to make his international debut, left spectators in awe with an unbeaten innings of 250 runs against Zimbabwe A in domestic cricket. With an impressive tally of 2687 runs in 40 first-class matches, including seven fifties and nine centuries, the 24-year-old has demonstrated his remarkable consistency and ability to perform at the highest level.
