Prabhsimran Singh played a flamboyant knock to take Punjab Kings (PBKS) to a huge score of 236/5 against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). Singh opened the innings with Priyansh Arya, but the opening partnership was not successful, as Arya fell cheaply for one run off four balls. Josh Inglis then joined Singh in the middle, and they added 48 runs off 22 balls. Singh’s innings took off in the fourth over when he hit two sixes and a four off Mayank Yadav.

His partnership with captain Shreyas Iyer gave the innings solidity. They both maintained a good pace and never let the run rate drop, adding 78 runs off 47 balls. After Iyer’s dismissal, Nehal Wadhera joined Singh, and the pair contributed 34 runs off 18 balls. However, it was Singh’s partnership with Shashank Singh—worth 54 runs off just 21 balls—that ensured PBKS finished with a big total.

Singh was in great touch today, hitting the bowlers all over the park. He completed his fifty in just 30 balls during the 11th over, joining the list of PBKS openers with the most consecutive 50-plus scores.
