The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming women’s T20I series in Ireland. Fatima Sana will continue to lead the team.
The squad features a blend of seasoned players and young talent, with 22-year-old Eyman Fatima earning her maiden senior team call-up. Eyman’s selection comes on the back of an excellent showing in the National Women’s T20 Tournament, where she amassed 287 runs in eight games at a striking rate of 155.14. She was also part of Pakistan’s squad at the inaugural ICC Women’s U19 T20 World Cup in 2023.
Experienced names such as Muneeba Ali, Diana Baig, and Aliya Riaz return to provide balance and leadership. In the spin department, Nashra Sundhu and Tuba Hassan will take charge, while Sadia Iqbal and Waheeda Akhtar bolster the pace attack.
The squad was finalised by the Women’s National Selection Committee after assessing 24 players during the ongoing Skills Camp in Karachi, which will conclude on July 27. A preparatory training camp will be held in Karachi before the team departs for Ireland.
The three-match T20I series will be held from August 6 to 10 at Clontarf Cricket Club in Dublin.
