Bengaluru FC (BFC) suffered a shocking exit from the ongoing Kalinga Super Cup 2025 earlier today, as Inter Kashi edged past the ISL runners-up in the pre-quarterfinals at the Kalinga Stadium.

BFC, despite fielding a full-strength squad, delivered a disappointing performance. Even with head coach Antonio Lopez Habas and key midfielder Joni Kauko, Inter Kashi held their nerve and defeated them in a penalty shootout.

After the match, BFC owner Parth Jindal appeared furious as he shared a message on X (formerly known as Twitter), demanding answers from both the players and the coaching group after such a display. He also apologised to fans and promised to do significant work in the off-season.

Here is the shared tweet:

The tweet reads: “Absolutely gutted after watching @bengalurufc today – a truly disappointing performance – not good enough by any stretch of imagination. With a spot in Asia up for grabs I expected much more. Need to do a lot of work in the off season but players and the coaching group need to answer for the performance today. Apologies to all the fans.”

BFC took the lead in the 62nd minute, thanks to Ryan Williams. However, Inter Kashi’s Matija Babović scored the equaliser, sending the match into a penalty shootout. Inter Kashi goalkeeper Shubham Dhas then saved Alberto Noguera’s attempt, securing a stunning 5-3 win for Kashi.
