Cheteshwar Pujara, India’s Test match No.3, is leading Sussex in the current season of the County Championship 2023. He continued his impressive form, smashing his second century of the season, this time against Gloucestershire at the County Ground in Bristol. It was his seventh century for Sussex from 11 matches, and the 58th first-class ton of his career.
Batting at No.4, Pujara scored a magnificent 151 off 238 deliveries, including 20 fours and 2 sixes. He was the top scorer, and helped power Sussex to a total of 455-5 on the third day.
After losing two early wickets, Pujara built a strong partnership with Tom Alsop, adding 100 runs for the third wicket before Alsop departed for 67. Pujara then teamed up with James Coles to guide Sussex towards a big first-innings total.

He has accumulated 332 runs from five innings in the County Championship Division Two, and is currently the highest run-scorer.
