Kerala vs Maharashtra
Despite Sanju Samson’s stroke-filled half-century and a fighting knock from vice-captain Mohammad Azharuddeen, Kerala could only manage 219 runs, handing Maharashtra a 20-run lead. That lead extended to 71 by the end of the day, as Prithvi Shaw and Arshin Kulkarni put together a rapid 50-run stand to strengthen Maharashtra’s advantage. M.D. Nidheesh, who took a five-for in the first innings, couldn’t replicate his magic in his initial spell, leaking 21 runs in three overs. Once again, play was suspended early in Thiruvananthapuram due to bad light.
Saurashtra vs Karnataka
It was a one-man show in Rajkot as Shreyas Gopal had an eight-wicket haul. However, the leg-spinner received little support from the other bowlers, allowing Saurashtra to edge ahead with a slender four-run lead. The moment Chetan Sakariya hit the six that gave Saurashtra the lead, he celebrated by removing his helmet. His 29-run cameo played a crucial role in securing the first-innings advantage. Karnataka ended Day 3 on 89/1 in their second innings, with Devdutt Padikkal unbeaten on 18 and Mayank Agarwal on 31.
Madhya Pradesh vs Punjab
Madhya Pradesh captain Rajat Patidar converted his century into a maiden double hundred as the home side took a commanding lead of 287 runs over Punjab in Indore. MP ended the day at 519/8, with Patidar unbeaten on 205 and seam-bowling all-rounder Arshad Khan on 60. While Patidar held firm at one end, Arshad launched a blistering assault on the Punjab bowlers, smashing five sixes and three fours at a strike rate of 100.
Vidarbha vs Nagaland
Vidarbha have kickstarted their tournament with an innings-and-179-run win over Nagaland at the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence. After batting for one-and-a-half days to post 463 in 130.2 overs, the Vidarbha bowlers took just 116 overs to dismiss Nagaland twice. Praful Hinge starred with a five-wicket haul in the first innings, while Harsh Dubey picked up four wickets to seal the win inside three days.
Tamil Nadu vs Jharkhand
After slumping to 18/5, Tamil Nadu were bowled out for 93 on Day 3. Jatin Pandey returned impressive figures of 5/35, while Sahil Raj took four wickets. The two young pacers gave the home side no opportunity to fight back. Ishan Kishan’s Jharkhand enforced the follow-on after taking a 322-run lead. In their second innings, Tamil Nadu once again faltered early. Jharkhand have already taken three wickets and will be aiming to dismiss the remaining batters to register an outright win.
Hyderabad vs Delhi
It was an eventful day in Hyderabad. When Tanmay Agarwal and Aniketh Reddy were batting, the Delhi bowlers looked clueless, unable to break the partnership. With the frontline bowlers failing to make an impact, Ayush Badoni took matters into his own hands and turned the match on its head with his off-spin. The Delhi skipper took five wickets to bring his team back into the contest. The remaining two wickets were claimed by part-time bowlers Sumit Mathur and Arpit Rana. Hyderabad now have just three wickets left and trail by 129 runs.
Rajasthan vs Chhattisgarh
Deepak Hooda’s 130, combined with contributions from the lower-middle-order, helped Rajasthan secure a 54-run first-innings lead. After the top order failed to deliver, Rajasthan’s lower-middle-order held off the Chhattisgarh bowlers for most of Day 3. Late in the day, Manav Suthar’s four-wicket burst put Rajasthan on the verge of victory. Even though Chhattisgarh currently hold a 10-run lead, Rajasthan will back themselves to bowl out the opposition early tomorrow and chase down the target.
Uttar Pradesh vs Andhra
Rinku Singh’s unbeaten 82 has kept Uttar Pradesh in the game. After a 100-run partnership between Madhav Kaushik and Aryan Juyal was broken, Andhra kept striking at regular intervals, triggering a collapse that saw UP lose five wickets for just 76 runs. Following Aaradhya Yadav’s dismissal, Vipraj Nigam has provided solid support to Rinku. However, the hosts still trail by 176 runs.
