Yashasvi Jaiswal smashed an unbeaten 56 to end the day on a positive note after Deepak Hooda punished the Mumbai bowlers with his marathon innings of 248 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Mohammed Shami went wicketless after bowling 19 overs on day three. He was the only bowler to finish without a wicket on a day that was highlighted by a century from Hanuma Vihari. Vidarbha vice-captain Yash Rathod also scored a hundred against R Sai Kishore’s Tamil Nadu as the defending champions eye an outright win on the final day.

Rajasthan vs Mumbai

On the back of a sensational double hundred from Hooda and a century from 19-year-old Kartik Sharma, Rajasthan posted a mammoth first-innings total of 617. After declaring their innings, they looked for early wickets but, in doing so, conceded a lot of runs as Mumbai ended the day on a high with Jaiswal and Musheer Khan adding 89 to see the day out. While Jaiswal batted with intent, scoring a run-a-ball 56, Musheer adopted a more cautious approach, making 32 off 76 balls. Mumbai have conceded the first-innings lead and trail by 274 runs. The first-innings lead has already secured three points for Rajasthan. On the final day, they will go for an outright win, while Mumbai fight to save the game.

Karnataka vs Kerala

Karnataka enforced the follow-on after bowling out Kerala for 238 in their first innings on Day 3. They have given themselves a chance to push for an innings victory. Baba Aparajith fought hard for Kerala with 88, but apart from him, none of the batters managed to cross the 50-run mark. It’s the same pitch on which two Karnataka batters scored double hundreds. The pacers did most of the damage for Karnataka, with Vidhwath Kaverappa and Vijaykumar Vyshak sharing seven wickets between them.

During Kerala’s first innings, Apple Tom, who was not originally part of Kerala’s XI, replaced NP Basil as a concussion substitute. Tom came out to bat at No. 11 and scored an unbeaten 10 off 60 balls.

Tamil Nadu vs Vidarbha

Despite Sai Kishore’s five-wicket haul, Tamil Nadu couldn’t contain Vidarbha’s batting as the defending champions scored 501 in their first innings. The star for Vidarbha once again was Rathod, who made 133. Since the start of the domestic season, the southpaw has been in sensational form. Dhruv Shorey once again missed out on a century, as did Ravikumar Samarth. All-rounder Nachiket Bhute enjoyed himself with a brisk 51.

Tamil Nadu will be looking to save the match tomorrow as they trail by 204 runs, whereas Vidarbha will be eyeing an innings win by taking ten wickets on the final day.

Tripura vs Bengal

Shami went wicketless in the 19 overs he bowled on Day 3. The veteran seamer was the only bowler not to take a wicket on a day that saw a fighting hundred from Tripura’s new recruit, Vihari. The out-of-favour India batter remained unbeaten on 121, with captain Manisankar Singh Murasingh batting on 42. Another capped India player who looked good was Vijay Shankar, but he couldn’t convert his start into a big one, falling to Mohammed Kaif, who picked up four wickets for Bengal.
Tripura trail by 63 runs, and for them to take a first-innings lead, Vihari will hold the key.

Punjab vs Goa

It was a day marked by the brilliance of the Goa batters. Openers Suyash Prabhudessai and Abhinav Tejrana smashed centuries to help their team take a 114-run lead. Manthan Khutkar missed out on a hundred but not before adding 222 runs for the first wicket.
Abhinav lit up the ground with his power-hitting, smashing seven sixes and six fours against a hapless Punjab bowling attack. This game is also heading towards a draw, and if that happens, Goa will take three points.
