Kerala vs Maharashtra

The first session was almost entirely ruined by rain, with a delayed start to Day 2 in Thiruvananthapuram. Maharashtra resumed on 179/7 and were bowled out for 239. A gritty 59-run stand between Vicky Ostwal and Ramakrishna Ghosh helped the visitors to a respectable total. Rajneesh Gurbani’s dismissal gave pacer M.D. Nidheesh his five-wicket haul. Gurbani and Mukesh Choudhary started well with the new ball for Maharashtra. Mukesh created pressure from one end, and Gurbani reaped the rewards by removing Baba Aparajith and Akshay Chandran. Jalaj Saxena dismissed Rohan Kunnummal with the fourth delivery of his first over to cap off a good day for Maharashtra. Sachin Baby and Sanju Samson will resume tomorrow for Kerala, who ended the day on 35/3.

Saurashtra vs Karnataka

Smaran Ravichandran’s 77, Shreyas Gopal’s 56, and a quickfire 41 from Shikhar Shetty were instrumental in Karnataka posting 372 in their first innings. Saurashtra’s left-arm spinner Dharmendrasinh Jadeja returned with a seven-wicket haul. The home side got off to an excellent start, with openers Harvik Desai and Chirag Jani adding 140 runs for the first wicket. Once Harvik was dismissed, Gopal triggered a minor collapse. Not only did he deny Chirag his century, but the leg-spinner also picked up two more wickets as Saurashtra ended the day on 200/4.

Madhya Pradesh vs Punjab

Continuing his fine form with the bat, Madhya Pradesh skipper Rajat Patidar notched up a century. He shared a 147-run partnership with Venkatesh Iyer, who made 73 before falling to Prerit Dutta. The partnership helped the hosts take a 73-run lead in Indore. Wicketkeeper-batter Himanshu Mantri, opener Yash Dubey, and former captain Shubham Sharma all got starts, but only Patidar was able to convert his into a hundred. On Day 3, he will look to extend the lead and put his team firmly in control.

Vidarbha vs Nagaland

Nagaland started the day well, removing Yash Rathod and Aman Mokhade early, but lower-order contributions from skipper Akshay Wadkar, Harsh Dubey, and Nachiket Bhute powered Vidarbha to 463. With the bat, Nagaland lost wickets at regular intervals and ended the day on 41/3. Darshan Nalkande, Parth Rekhade and Praful Hinge claimed a wicket each, while Harsh Dubey — who bowled the most overs — went wicketless.

Tamil Nadu vs Jharkhand

Rain brought an early end to what was a forgettable day with the bat for Tamil Nadu in Coimbatore. Before play was called off, the home side had slumped to 18/5. Sahil Raj, who earlier scored 77, picked up two wickets, including one off the very first ball of the innings. His bowling partner, Jatin Pandey, starred with three wickets in a five-over spell. Both young pacers have put their side firmly on top. Tamil Nadu trail by 401 runs with five wickets in hand. Earlier in the day, Ishan Kishan completed his innings on 173.

Hyderabad vs Delhi

Sanat Sangwan and Ayush Doesja smashed double centuries to propel Delhi to 529. The visitors declared late on Day 2, hoping to make early inroads with the new ball. After the specialist bowlers — Shivam Sharma, Navdeep Saini, and Simarjeet Singh — were tried, skipper Ayush Badoni took matters into his own hands. He broke the 65-run opening stand between Tanmay Agarwal and Gahlaut Rahul Singh by dismissing the latter. The hosts face a massive task ahead, trailing by 452 runs.

Rajasthan vs Chhattisgarh

Khaleel Ahmed and Manav Suthar wrapped up Chhattisgarh’s innings quickly in the morning session. After losing their skipper for a duck, Rajasthan were in trouble at 26/2. However, the experienced Deepak Hooda stepped up and struck a century, guiding his side to 215/4 at stumps. He will be crucial for the hosts as they still trail by 117 runs.

Uttar Pradesh vs Andhra

Resuming Day 2 on 94, Shaik Rasheed went on to complete his century and eventually made 136 before falling to Shivam Sharma. His knock, along with handy lower-order contributions, helped Andhra post 470 in their first innings. Vipraj Nigam picked up four wickets in his 41-over spell. Uttar Pradesh lost opener Abhishek Goswami for 24 and ended the day on 73/1. Madhav Kaushik and Aryan Juyal will resume tomorrow, with UP trailing by 397 runs.
