Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) suffered their first loss of this ongoing IPL 2025 as Gujarat Titans (GT) thrashed them in Bengaluru by eight wickets. It was a disappointing performance from Rajat Patidar and his men in all three departments. Especially, while batting first, their top-order batters failed but in the lower middle order, Liam Livingstoone’s 54 (40) were one of the few positives. Along with him, another Australian power-hitter, Tim David also played a solid cameo of 32 off 18 which helped them to post 169/8 in 20 overs at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium. However, it was not the first time when Livingstone has managed to come up with such a crucial innings in IPL against GT.

While playing for Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the IPL 2022, Livingstone played this knock of 64 runs off 27 balls at a strike rate of 237.03. His knock helped PBKS to score 189/9 in that game but eventually, GT chased down the target with six wickets to spare.
54 (40) – Bengaluru, 2 April 2025
RCB’s top order failed against in-form GT bowlers but in the end, Livingstone smashed 54 off 40 at a strike rate of 135.00. His knock was one of the reasons why RCB reached 169/8 in 20 overs. But, GT chased down the target with ease with eight wickets and 13 balls to spare.

While chasing 144, for PBKS in the IPL 2022, Livingstone remained not out on 30 off 25 and sealed the win for his team in 16 overs with eight wickets to spare.
