Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) bowlers did their best to get close to the victory today. After a disappointing first innings, RCB bowlers needed to bring in their dominance. They did so at the start, with Josh Hazlewood and Buvaneshwar Kumar continuing the strike in the bowling lineup. Failing to continue much with the momentum, PBKS took just five wickets against the Punjab Kings batters.
For RCB, it was just another disappointing loss. Hazlewood’s impressive spell, however, fell a bit short in the second innings. PBKS dominated the whole match today, leaving the RCB fans in their home ground with an upsetting experience.
Hazlewood’s 3-wicket in lost match
Whether they win or not, Josh Hazlewood’s three-wicket spell today against PBKS was enough to be a top highlight from tonight’s match. The RCB bowler was successful in taking important wickets, starting with his early dismissal of PBKS opener Priyansh Arya. His next wickets came for their skipper, Shreyas Iyer, whose 7(10) performance wasn’t very promising. And finally it was Josh Inglis that got him his third wicket and 12th of this IPL season.
While the RCB bowling lineup failed to do their jobs in today’s game, they face PBKS once again on Sunday afternoon in a match with PBKS as the host this time. RCB will definitely look for redemption, and Hazlewood will be a prominent bowler to be expected.
