Rinku Singh and Prabhsimran Singh received their maiden call-ups as the BCCI announced the men’s cricket squad for the Asian Games 2023. Jitesh Sharma and Washington Sundar are included after missing out on the T20I series against West Indies. Shivam Dube, known for his power hitting, is also part of the 15-member squad, which will be led by Ruturaj Gaikwad.
In addition to the main squad, the BCCI has named a list of standby players who will be ready to step in if needed. The standby list includes Yash Thakur, Sai Kishore, Venkatesh Iyer, Deepak Hooda, and B Sai Sudharsan.
The men’s cricket competition will be held in the T20 format from September 28th to October 8th.
