The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced its squad for the Asia Cup. The six-team tournament will be held from August 30 to September 17 in Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Rohit Paudel will lead Nepal’s 17-member side.
Nepal will undergo a week-long preparatory camp in Pakistan, and engage with Pakistan Cricket Board-designated teams to get ready for the Asia Cup.
Making their debut in the continental championship, Nepal secured their spot by triumphing over UAE in the ACC Premier Cup final earlier this year.
Placed in Group A, Nepal are up against India and Pakistan. Group B comprises reigning champions Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh. Nepal’s opening match is against Pakistan in Multan on August 30.
