Virender Sehwag, the former India opener, observed that Rohit Sharma’s poor run of scores in IPL 2023 is related more to mental side of things than technique.
Rohit has had a disappointing campaign so far, having scored only 184 runs in ten games with a dismal average of 18.40. In the last two fixtures, Rohit was dismissed without scoring, which would be a matter of concern for the team.
“Rohit Sharma is not battling with the bowlers but with himself. There is a mental block. There’s no problem with his batting technique. Some confusion is going on in his mind. But the day he gets going, we will make up for all the previous matches,” Sehwag said on Star Sports Cricket Live.
On Tuesday night, the Rohit-led Mumbai Indians side is scheduled to to play the Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Wankhede Stadium.
