White-ball legend Rohit Sharma added another milestone to his illustrious career, surpassing former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly to become the third highest run-getter for his country in One Day Internationals (ODIs). Rohit achieved the feat when he scored 73 runs in the second ODI of the ongoing three-match series against Australia, in Adelaide.

With this innings, Rohit’s career tally now stands at 11249 runs in 275 matches, overtaking Ganguly’s 11221 runs in 308 matches. The legendary Sachin Tendulkar continues to lead the chart with 18426 runs from 463 matches, followed by Virat Kohli, who has 14181 runs from 304 matches.

Rohit also climbed another significant landmark, becoming the second-highest run-scorer as an opener for India, once again moving past Ganguly. Tendulkar tops the chart with 15310 runs, while Rohit now has 9190 runs as an opener, just edging Ganguly’s 9146.

Adding to his list of records, Rohit became the first Asian batter to hit 150 sixes in SENA (South Africa, England, New Zealand, Australia) countries. He achieved this remarkable feat after hitting two sixes in the same match in Adelaide.
