In yesterday’s IPL 2025 clash between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Gujarat Titans (GT) at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi delivered a destructive performance that has mesmerised the cricketing world. Scoring blistering 101 runs off just 38 balls, he created history by scoring the second fastest IPL century. He scored the century in just 35 balls stands as the fastest by an Indian, following Chris Gayle’s 30-ball century in 2013 and surpassing Yusuf Pathan’s 37-ball record from 2010.

Opening the innings, Vaibhav showcased fearless stroke play, hitting seven boundaries and 11 maximums and scored his fifty in just 17 balls, which is the fastest in the current season. His partnership with Yashasvi Jaiswal of 166 runs led RR to a commanding eight-wicket victory over the strong bowling attack of GT.
