In the next over, Ishant met the same fate and all of a sudden, the crowd was on the edge of their seats. Here was an audacious teenager, challenging men twice his age and with truckloads of experience. The underdog was pushing the bar and winning. In the Indian Premier League, everything is indeed possible.
A 100 off 35 balls – the second-fastest ton in the IPL – Vaibhav has now announced himself on the world stage. India have talent, and he is the best example. All of a sudden, the world has taken notice, and while the 14 debate is still on, the reality is who cares.
