Rajasthan Royals’ young prodigy Vaibhav Suryavanshi lit up the Sawai Mansingh Stadium with a sensational maiden IPL century, powering his side to a dominant eight-wicket win over Gujarat Titans on Monday, April 28, and keeping their playoff hopes alive.
The 14-year-old sensation stunned the cricketing world with a breathtaking 38-ball 101 – making him the youngest ever to score a T20 hundred. In just his third IPL innings, Vaibhav showcased maturity well beyond his years as he anchored RR’s chase in style.
Speaking after receiving his first major IPL award, the composed teenager said, “It feels amazing to get my first hundred in the IPL. I’ve worked hard in the nets before the season, and today it paid off. I just focus on seeing the ball and playing my shots.”
He also praised his opening partner, Yashasvi Jaiswal, for his constant support during their stand. “Batting with Jaiswal is great—he keeps guiding me with positive words and advice.”
Vaibhav, who signed his first IPL deal at the age of 13, has already etched his name in the history books—becoming the youngest to score a T20 century and the youngest ever Player of the Match in the league. With Sanju Samson sidelined, Vaibhav is making every opportunity count with fearless flair.
