The India Women’s Selection Committee has announced the squads for the upcoming tour of England, set to begin on June 28, 2025. The tour will feature five T20 Internationals (T20Is) and three One Day Internationals (ODIs), presenting a key overseas challenge for the in-form Indian women’s team.
One of the biggest highlights is the return of explosive opener Shafali Verma to the T20I setup. She will join forces at the top of the order with Smriti Mandhana and captain Harmanpreet Kaur, bringing experience and firepower to the Indian batting unit.
India enter the series high on confidence, having recently won the recently concluded Women’s ODI Tri-Nation Series in Colombo, which featured Sri Lanka and South Africa. The successful campaign has injected fresh momentum into the team as they gear up for the crucial tour of England.
The T20I squad sees a strong core of players, including Jemimah Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh, and reliable all-rounders Deepti Sharma and Sneh Rana. Emerging talents such as Sree Charani, Sayali Satghare, and Shuchi Upadhyay have also been named, offering a balance of youth and experience.
