Sinclair receives maiden Test call-up, Reifer dropped for the second Test vs India

Kevin Sinclair, the offspin-bowling allrounder, has received his maiden Test call-up for the second Test against India. He replaces Raymon Reifer in the 13-member squad, marking the only change from the previous Test, which West Indies lost by an innings and 141 runs.

Reifer, who struggled in the opening Test with scores of 2 and 11, will remain with the squad as a cover for any potential injuries.

Sinclair has showcased his skills in first-class cricket, capturing 54 wickets in 18 matches at an impressive average of 23.98, including a best figure of 6 for 33. He has also contributed with the bat, amassing 756 runs at an average of 29.07, featuring six half-centuries.

Sinclair particularly impressed during the series against Bangladesh A earlier this year, emerging as the leading wicket-taker with 13 wickets at an average of 25.69. He also displayed his batting prowess, scoring 149 runs at an average of 49.66, including a top score of 60.

Apart from this change, the remainder of the West Indies squad remains unchanged from the first Test.
