Indian and Lucknow Super Giants pacer Mayank Yadav is all set to travel to New Zealand in the next few days to consult medical specialists for his back injury. Sources close to the development say that the pacer could even go for surgery.

Yadav had been out of action long before he even joined LSG for a few games this IPL season, but when he did he succumbed to his injury once again and was out of the tournament.

The speedster is all set to follow the Jasprit Bumrah route. Bumrah had consulted and was operated on by specialists in New Zealand. Even when Bumrah was injured in Australia, during the last Test match of the Border Gavaskar Trophy in Sydney, his reports were sent to the same specialists in New Zealand.

Yadav had a brilliant debut in the IPL in 2024, which then saw him break into the Indian team, but since then the speedster has been on the sidelined due to injury. It is to be seen if he gets the relief he is after.
