Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are taking on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. LSG won the toss and opted to bowl first. Shardul Thakur provided LSG with early breakthroughs, taking two wickets in two balls by dismissing Abhishek Sharma and the in-form Ishan Kishan. SRH managed to score 62 runs for the loss of two wickets in the powerplay.
Then came a big moment in the eighth over—Travis Head, who was looking dangerous and continuing his good form from the first match, was bowled by a young pacer from Delhi, Prince Yadav. As soon as Prince came on for his first over, he looked impressive and delivered a full-length ball. Head cleared his front leg and attempted to heave it into the stands but missed completely. The stumps were rattled, and Prince Yadav, along with LSG fans, erupted in celebration. This was Prince’s maiden IPL wicket. Ultimately, he finished with one wicket for 29 runs in his four overs.

Who is Prince Yadav?
Prince, a 23-year-old right-arm fast bowler from Delhi, has an exciting backstory. He played in the Delhi Premier League under Rishabh Pant’s captaincy and showed promise, picking up 13 wickets in 10 matches.
A day before the IPL 2025 auction, Prince played against Uttar Pradesh in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy tournament, where he took two wickets to help Delhi secure victory. The next day, LSG spent ₹30 lakh to acquire him in the IPL.
