Mumbai Indians (MI) beat Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by seven wickets with 26 balls to spare in the 41st match of IPL 2025 in Hyderabad.
Here are the top three highlights from today’s SRH vs MI clash in the IPL 2025
Heinrich Klaasen’s great innings under pressure
When Heinrich Klaasen came to bat, SRH were 13 for 3 in the fourth over of the innings, and they soon lost another wicket. He had a short partnership of 22 runs with Aniket Verma, but then added 99 runs off 63 balls with Abhinav Manohar, giving SRH bowlers something to fight for. When the pressure was mounting, Klassen did not bog down; instead, he played his natural game from one end and kept the MI bowlers under pressure. He received good support from Manohar at the other end. Klassen scored 71 off 44 balls with a strike rate of 161.36.
Rohit Sharma’s match-winning knock
Rohit continued his form with a superb 70 off 46 balls at a strike rate of 152.17, including eight fours and three sixes. MI lost Ryan Rickelton early, but Rohit built two crucial partnerships to seal the match. He added 64 runs with Will Jacks and 53 with Suryakumar Yadav, respectively.
Boult and Chahar’s early blows
Trent Boult and Deepak Chahar ripped through SRH’s top order, leaving them in early trouble. Boult removed both openers—Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma—while Chahar dismissed Ishan Kishan and Nitish Reddy within the first five overs. Later, Boult also claimed the wickets of Abhinav Manohar and Pat Cummins. He was the pick of the bowlers with 4 for 26 in his four overs, maintaining an economy rate of 6.50 and was also named the Player of the Match.
