India’s Suruchi Singh has climbed to the top of the ISSF world rankings in women’s 10m air pistol, marking a stunning rise in her very first senior season. The 19-year-old, who made her senior international debut earlier this year, now leads the standings with 4162 points.

Former junior world champion Yao Qianxun of China sits in second place with 3195 points, while compatriot Wei Qian is third at 2178.

Suruchi’s consistency has been remarkable in 2025. At the Asian Shooting Championship, she collected bronze medals in both the mixed team and women’s team 10m air pistol events. More significantly, she swept the individual gold medals at all three ISSF World Cups this year — in Munich, Lima, and Buenos Aires. She also added a mixed team gold in Lima, underlining her breakthrough on the senior circuit.

Two-time Olympic medallist Manu Bhaker, who earned bronze in the individual 10m air pistol at the Asian meet, is currently sixth in the world rankings with 1988 points. In the 25m pistol category, Bhaker stands fourth with 1800 points, followed by fellow Indian Esha Singh in sixth (1512 points).

India also saw progress in rifle shooting. Sift Kaur Samra, the 50m rifle 3 positions gold medallist at the Asian Championships, climbed to second with 3034 points, while Ashi Chouksey sits 10th (1277 points). Norway’s Jeanette Hegg Duestad continues to lead the category with 3320 points.
