India will face South Africa in the final of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 at the DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai, on Sunday, November 2. Ahead of the big-ticket clash, the Indian men’s team, currently in Australia for the ongoing T20I series, conveyed their best wishes to the women’s team.

Gautam Gambhir, head coach of the Indian men’s team, said: “On behalf of the entire support staff and the Indian team, I want to wish the women’s team all the very best. Enjoy the occasion, be fearless, don’t be afraid of making a mistake, you’ve already made the entire country proud. Wishing the women’s team all the very best for the World Cup final.”

“Just enjoy the occasion, be yourself. I think you’ve had an amazing campaign so far,” said India’s men’s T20I captain, Suryakumar Yadav.

Jasprit Bumrah said: “Just enjoy the occasion; you don’t get to play many World Cup finals. You don’t need to do anything different. You’re playing really well, back yourself, enjoy the moment, give your best, and everything else will take care of itself.”

India’s ODI and Test captain, Shubman Gill, said: “Wishing the women’s team all the very best for the final. Bring the cup home.”

Pacer Arshdeep Singh added: “We just want to wish you luck, the trophy is right here, you just have to pick it up.”

The moment is historic, as a new champion will be crowned in Navi Mumbai. Fresh from their victory over the defending champions, Harmanpreet Kaur and her team will be looking to end their trophy drought.
