MI London have signed four big names in T20 cricket for the upcoming Hundred tournament. Rashid Khan, Nicholas Pooran, Hayley Matthews and Amelia Kerr will represent the franchise, giving both the men’s and women’s teams a strong core.
In an official statement, MI London CEO Oli Slipper said, “The signings we have made have built a terrific backbone for both the men’s and women’s teams. Fans were wowed by the performances of Rashid Khan at the Kia Oval last summer and Nicholas Pooran is an incredibly dynamic and exciting cricketer.”
He further added, “In Hayley Matthews and Melie Kerr, we have signed two players who have delivered on the biggest stages for their countries and have extensive experience in franchise cricket.”
Rashid helped the men’s team win the title in 2025. That season, he took 12 wickets in just six matches. He has more than 1,000 wickets across all formats. Rashid has also added valuable runs in the IPL, BBL and SA20. He currently represents MI teams in Cape Town and New York.
Trinidadian cricketer Nicholas Pooran has more than 10,000 T20 runs and is one of the most destructive batters in this format. He has also represented MI in other leagues like the ILT20, MLC and SA20.
Hayley Matthews will further strengthen the women’s team. The West Indies captain has over 6,000 international runs and more than 130 wickets. She also represented MI in the Women’s Premier League, where she was the leading wicket-taker.
New Zealand cricketer Amelia Kerr is another star signing for the franchise. She won both Player of the Tournament and Player of the Final at the Women’s T20 World Cup in 2024.
Sam Curran, Will Jacks and Danni Wyatt-Hodge are already part of the team ahead of the auction.
