Ahead of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final against Australia, India captain Rohit Sharma has highlighted the favourable batting conditions at The Oval, emphasizing the value of shots played on this ground. He also mentioned the importance of understanding the scoring patterns of past players who have excelled at The Oval.

“It is important to know your strengths. The scoring patterns here are favourable for batsmen, as The Oval is known for being one of the best batting wickets in England. Shots played here receive good value, and the square boundaries are quick. It’s about giving ourselves the best chance to succeed in these conditions,” said Rohit while speaking to the broadcasters.

The WTC Final between India and Australia is scheduled to take place on June 7 at The Oval in London. As the match approaches, the Indian team is working diligently to prepare for the game, adapting to the unique conditions they will encounter.
