Vaibhav Suryavanshi became a teenage sensation by scoring a scintillating 35-ball century against Gujarat Titans (GT) in a must-win game. His knock powered the team home in a challenging chase, and briefly kept Rajasthan Royals’ (RR) playoff hopes alive.

Just three games old in the IPL, Suryavanshi has already seen the tremendous highs of being a part of this glamorous and elite cricketing stage. He has attracted praise and compliments from the who’s who of the cricketing world after his smashing knock made him the youngest centurion in men’s T20 history. His hundred was the second-fastest by any player in the IPL and the fastest by an Indian, so this lad from Samastipur, Bihar is being eyed as a superstar in the making”.

The crowd at the RR vs MI match yesterday at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur were waiting for a replication of the magic that happened on Monday against GT. Unfortunately, they had to witness something very different. The centurion from three days earlier left the audience disappointed as he made his way back to the dugout after being dismissed for a two-ball duck.

The Internet that got flooded with praise and congratulatory messages post his century was now brimming with humorous and harsh memes which showed the creativity and cruelty of some fans. Even as the funny memes were doing the rounds after the game, Rohit Sharma was seen sharing a few moments with Suryavanshi on the field, encouraging and consoling him. Apart from the fans watching, this lovely gesture was also lauded by Ravi Shastri who was on air to appreciate Rohit’s gesture.
