Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) suffered a major setback with the news that Jaydev Unadkat, their left-arm pace bowler, is likely to miss the rest of the IPL 2023 season due to a shoulder injury.
During a net session on Sunday, Unadkat was preparing to bowl when his foot became entangled in the ropes that held up the nets. He suffered a severe fall, and the impact was on his elbow. Subsequently, Unadkat was seen grimacing in pain while clutching his left shoulder. He later had a sling around his arm, as well as an ice-pack, to alleviate the discomfort.

Despite this setback, Unadkat is expected to recover in time for the World Test Championship 2023 final (WTC), which starts on June 7 at The Oval in London. To regain full fitness, he is expected to travel to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru for rehabilitation before heading to England for the WTC final.
